■ MORE EFFECTS SUPPORTING ADVANCED KEYFRAMING
DVC Pro HD can be captured directly to Xpress Pro via FireWire. DVC Pro HD
is the only HD format that is supported for capture with Xpress Pro HD, although you
can use media captured from Adrenaline HD systems, as long as it is 8-bit encoded.
Xpress Pro HD does not support 10-bit encoding.
Avid DNxHD resolutions must originate from an Avid Adrenaline system
because they are not native to Xpress Pro. However, Avid recommends the use of this
resolution whenever possible because these HD resolutions and media were created
specifically for Avid systems and work well with Xpress Pro.
The following resolutions and frame rates can be used from this media:
• 1080i/59.94
• 1080i/50
• 1080p/23.976
• 1080p/24
• 1080p/25
• 720p/59.94
• 720p/23.976
All resolutions available on Adrenaline can be played back (but not captured) on
Xpress Pro HD, with the exception of 10-bit media.
More Effects Supporting Advanced Keyframing
With previous versions of Xpress Pro, only a few effects supported advanced keyfram-
ing. In the new version 5.0, advanced keyframing is supported on many more effects.
These effects include the following:
• All blend effects
• Chroma, luma, and matte keys
• 3D titles
• 3D imported matte keys
• All mask effects
• Color effects
• All wipe effects
• All conceal and L-conceal effects
• All peel, push, spin, and squeeze effects
• All film effects
• AVX 2.0 effects
