CHAPTER 7: EFFECTS AND TRANSITIONS ■
The idea of the style menu is that you can create a look (or style) for your titles
and store it. But if you want to save all objects (including the aforementioned
geometrics) and placements of objects, you should use the Templates button.
• The Templates button allows you to save, edit, or include templates
that you produced previously. The template is saved as a .pct file and can be
recalled or included for use on another system. Essentially, the system is using
these files as a base plate for your work. Any time you need a particular tem-
plate that has been saved, you can edit it, reuse it, and save it again.
• The three bottom row keys assign attributes to boxes and lines. When you click
the corner tool , you can select a corner radius or customize one yourself
(see Figure 7.7). If you select the dotted line at the bottom, it allows you to enter
a custom number of lines in the radius.
• The same can be said for the middle button, which is the line size tool .
Select a preset line size or customize the thickness of lines using this tool.
• The arrowhead tool is like the two others, with custom size at the bottom
and preset sizes for arrowheads. If you want a line to include arrowheads, you
can use this tool.
• Next to the arrowhead tool is the background swatch . You can click this
to determine a color for the background, assuming that you do not want to put
