Saving Import Settings (Xpress Pro)
Now that you’ve established your import settings, save them on your system. If you
work with a graphic artist or animation house on a regular basis, it might be a good
idea to name the settings after that person or place. Here’s how to do it:
1. Go to the Project Window.
2. Select Import Settings.
3. Duplicate the import settings by clicking Ctrl+D/F+D.
4. Using the Duplicated Settings file, click to the right of the word Import. A
cursor will appear.
5. Enter the name of the setting.
From now on, you can use this setting if you use any files that are similar in nature.
Drag and Drop Importing
After the settings are established, you can do some drag-and-drop importing from your
desktop. Using this method assumes a few things:
Your graphic files have been prepped and ready for import.
The right import settings have been selected.
You must drag the graphic to an open bin.
When you drag the image into an open bin (not the Project window), it will
import automatically.
Note: The Autodetect Sequential Files option can be a little tricky. If you have two graphics that appear to
have a numbered cadence in your graphics folder, Xpress Pro will create them as an animated sequence.
